Focus on simplicity…

Being overwhelmed with all sorts of feelings, emotions and life situations makes us oversee the simplicity of the world. We tend to over-complicate and over-analyse everything we do. During a stressful period of our life this is an easy trap to fall into. I’ve been there so I know exactly how you feel and what sort of emotional roller-coaster you are riding.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Leonardo da Vinci

Sometimes it’s just a simple “no” to people that will make your life easier. It’s nice to help people, I love helping people, this is one of the reasons I’m writing this daily blog. However, we cannot help everyone; people need to start helping themselves too.
To make life easy, you will have to concentrate on tasks that will take you closer to your overall goals in life, career, family, health etc.

I’m going to introduce you to the “Wheel of life”. This is something that we will do today and we will repeat in a few months time, and you will see the result of your hard work and the progress you make by then. It is hard to imagine just now that you will be a totally different person in a few months’ time, but trust the process and you will see how quickly the time will be.

Let’s see where you are now compared to where you want to be: Your Wheel of life…

My wheel has the following on it: career, health, relationships, fun, wealth, dreams/goals, and community. But you can add anything to this that is important to you. So it should look like this:

(Carry on dotting the other parts where you think you are on a scale of 1-10 on each segment, above is a demonstration on how you should start it.)

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” Confucius

Whatever you have chosen here to be most important in your life, are the areas where you should focus your energy on – you have to be realistic though.
Work towards these goals and we will re-visit this chart in a few months time and see where you are and where you still need to work on.

The easier way to reach these goals is to make the journey simple.
